PPC Strategies That Actually Work
When it comes to dealing with online marketing, especially that of SEM (search engine marketing) you will find that there are a lot of opinions on how to get the most traction with your money. While it may be beneficial to take out ads on the networks that are getting the most search credibility today, you can’t just throw money at search engines and expect to get the best targeted traffic possible. It’s only when you invest heavily in strategies that work that you will start to see major movement in your campaigns. Of course, there is no one way to get it done for everyone, but there are some tenants that you can take with you today that will assist you along the way.
First and foremost, you will need to look into finding all the keywords that you want to target before you invest in any sort of advertising. After you’ve done this, you will want to look for the ones that have the least amount of competition. You’ll want to only work with those words because you will find that you can get targeted users without paying a high dollar amount. For those that aren’t familiar with this, and instead want to fight their way to the top, you’ll have to pay upwards of $100 – $500 per click on some of the highest competitive keywords out there. This is something that you don’t want to do because if you get into a bidding war with others, you will have to come up with six figures to stay alive each month, and that’s no fun. In the world of PPC strategies, avoid trying to compete with companies that have ten times your budget.
The second thing that you will want to look into is something that most people don’t think about at first, and that’s to monitor the competition. Look at what your competitors are doing and how they are working their ads. If you find that they are gaining ground and are doing something that you’re not, emulate them. Emulation is not illegal and it’s one of the things that many top name brands and companies manage to stay competitive. If you want to surpass them, you’ll at least need to bring up your business strategy to their level first, then think about innovating. However, don’t start with trying to reinvent the wheel, stick with what works across the board, then after you’ve done that, try something new.
As stated in the last idea, no matter what your strategy is at first, make sure that you are changing things up around every 3 to 5 weeks. Do not do the same thing month after month, because that will cause ad blindness. That is the worst thing that could happen to your marketing attempts, because if you are being ignored by the general public, you could end up with a surplus of ad revenue and no customers or clients.
Take your time formulating your own strategy, but use the above tips that actually work. They are good launching pads for your future, so keep them in mind.
